Mr. McGovern is a respected turnaround CEO, who gets the
call when a Board of Directors needs help and someone on
whom they can depend during the most trying and
challenging of circumstances. Mr. McGovern has earned
distinction in the investment community by the
longstanding attention he has given to corporate
governance. To quote Mr. McGovern, "There is a major
corporate governance change underway. The CEO of
yesterday provided the board of directors with summary
information, and allowed limited input from the
directors. Meaningful participation by the board was
limited to significant acquisitions, divestitures or
other material transactions. The CEO of tomorrow will
share the ownership and oversight of key business risks
and decision making with the board of directors. The
risks include operational, financial, capital markets,
and human resources. A greater sharing of authority and
responsibility requires a more collaborative approach by
the CEO and board members"
Previous work experience includes: President and CEO of
Coho Energy, Inc. (OTC), Managing Director at Pembrook
Capital Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Edisto
Resources Corporation (AMEX), Chairman and CEO of
Convest Energy Corporation (AMEX), President and CEO of
Ironstone Group, Inc. (Formerly OXOCO Inc.) (Nasdaq),
Vice President of Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (NYSE) and
various management assignments at Louisiana Land and
Exploration Company (NYSE)
